Top burger in STL! Hard to imagine a pizza place having the best burger, however they do the 1 basic item very few others do... Which is season their meat! Cooking 101 however nearly every burger places missed the mark.

Let's play a game. Take a shot of tequila every time I say the word 'epic' in my review. On second thought, don't. Unless you'd like to switch to shots of chocolate milk. Yeah. I approve of that. Let's go. I went to Epic last week, on their second day open. It's located right next to iTap in Soulard. The place itself is pretty cool looking. There's a narrow walkway when you walk in, where you can watch the pizzas being made. There's a huge pizza oven where they throw the pizzas in; they cook the pizzas in two minutes flat. Epic. There are also lots of places to sit. Rustic wooden tables and booths. Nice. I came here with my uncle, who may be the one person who can out-eat a hungry Stephanie. MAYBE. So we went to town. We started with a few apps: garlic parmesan fries, buffalo wings, garlic knots, garlic cheese bread, mozzarella sticks. Everything was fantastic. The garlic parmesan fries were amazing; hot and crispy. The buffalo wings had a bit of a kick to them, which I loved. The garlic cheese bread and mozz sticks were delicious. But the star of the (appetizer) show? The garlic knots. Don't ask questions. Don't think about it. Put Epic on your bookmarks list, and get these things. They. Are. So. Freaking. EPIC. Soft, warm, garlicky. Perfection. I felt weird moaning in front of my uncle, but who cares. We're all family here. Moving on. Round 2. The epic burger. By the way, are you tipsy yet? Or full of chocolate milk? Keep reading. The epic burger comes with a delicious beef blend, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese (you can also choose American, which would be decidedly un-American of you), and epic sauce. More on the epic sauce later. The burger was fantastic. It was thick, juicy, and super flavorful. Did I mention it was cooked perfectly? This medium was a true medium. I loved it. So here's a quick story on why epic sauce needs to be bottled and sold RIGHT NOW. I always order BBQ sauce as a condiment. I dip my fries in it. I dip my burgers in it. I put BBQ on everything. So naturally, I ordered a side of BBQ sauce with my food. They didn't have any. But they had Epic Sauce. Whatever. We'll try it. Oh my freaking GOSH. Epic sauce. Better than BBQ sauce. Better than an open bar at your best friend's wedding. Better than an all-expenses paid trip to Australia, during which you'll be introduced personally to Hugh Jackman. Better than...sex? Ahem. It's good. Trust me. On it's on this burger. And if you ask nicely, they'll give you a cup of it, which you'll use to dip your fries, cheese bread, mozz sticks, and garlic knots in. Yes, I totally went there. Moving on. Round 3: pizza. We ordered a small white pizza to share. Delicious mozzarella cheese. Ricotta. Some other cheese that I'm forgetting. It was great. Cooked perfectly. Did I dip it in epic sauce? Yes I did. 5 stars. Round 4: dessert. We ordered the gooey butter cake, NY cheesecake, and zeppole. The gooey butter cake was amazing. It was served warm, and my uncle and I decided right then and there that ALL gooey butter cake should be served warm. Uh-may-zing. The NY cheesecake was also fantastic. The owners wife makes this herself (she also makes the gooey butter cake) and it's good. So creamy and rich, and the graham cracker crust makes me want to cry tears of joy. I wasn't familiar with zeppole, so of course we had to try it. It's a fried pastry that tastes like a mix of a funnel cake, donut, and cream puff. It had a thick, sweet custard-like cream in the middle which was good. And it was drizzled with caramel sauce. Sinful. Epic Pizza & Subs is, well...epic. The service was fantastic, the food was cheap and DELICIOUS, and they're right next to iTap. Could this place be any more awesome? I don't think so.

So, I tried Epic two more times since my first visit. Unfortunately, they did not maintain the initial level of service or quality. One day after my first visit, I tried to call in my 2nd order. The person who answered the phone told me that he couldn't take an order because the owner was hosting a private party for his friends. Ok, I get that. you just opened and you're having some grand opening parties. I tried again a few days later. I called to place an order. The guy who answered the phone was confused that I wanted to place an order over the phone. There were a number of um's and ahh's before he finally said he had to find a pen and paper and put me on hold. He eventually came back on the line and took my order. After confirming everything, he asked when I thought I might come by to pick it up. Now this confused me. Wouldn't he be the one holding that valuable piece of information? I could probably take a stab at it, but I don't know how long it takes them to cook a pizza and a burger. So, I asked him. He said he thought 15 or 20 minutes. I showed up about 25 minutes later at the store. There was a small group of people in line before me. I proceeded to wait 10 minutes before any employee even attempted to acknowledge me. It took them 10 minutes to take one other group's order before they could ask me what I wanted. I told them that I had called in an order. They said, "it's coming up." I waited another 10 or 15 minutes and I got the owner/manager's attention to ask about my food. It was ready about 2 minutes after that. Ok, maybe they weren't ready for a busy night. Flash forward to Sunday evening. My friend and I decide to visit and order take-out. The store is very slow. There are only a few customers in back. The cashier is multi-tasking on his iPhone while taking orders, the cook is busting his hump, and the owner/manager and another employee are just chatting behind the counter. My friend ordered first and paid. I ordered 2nd and paid. My friend's order was prepared and handed to him. After he received his food, they put my food on the grill. They waited until they completed his entire order before starting the 2nd order. My friend sat there for 15 minutes while his food got cold and he politely waited for mine to be ready. I even watched my final item get packed up by the cook, placed next to the cash register while 3 other employees sat around talking. It wasn't until a 4th employee came from the back and noticed a box of food sitting next to the cash register and placed it into the waiting bag with the rest of my order. And, to top it all off, I got home and they had gotten my order wrong. Not only that, the burger bun was pretty stale compared to the previous time and the burger meat was dry and crumbled after biting into it. There are a couple of employees that are clearly working extremely hard. However, there are a few, including the owner/manager (not sure which he is), that are pretty aloof with a tinge of arrogance. This place has a great opportunity to out-service the other pizza places in the neighborhood. Let's hope it gets better from here.

Another epic night at Epic Pizza. I really like the joint. As previously stated in my first review, the concept of beer joint and a pizza joint right next door to each other is a pretty solid idea. Things I like about the place: - The staff are friendly. - You receive your order in a very timely manner. - Prices are just right. - Overall quality fits the bill just as a whole. I appreciate a good pizza place with some personal character to it. I think they've got the menu and everything down pact. Now if only other new businesses would hit it off just as well as this one.

Wing game is on point!!! Epic Pizza and Subs in Soulard won the Soulard Wing Ding competition last year. I was there but I was having too much fun and never made it their booth. Now I know why they beat Johnny's! They fry the wing and then finish it in the wood fired pizza oven. The result is a crispy wing that has the same smoky charred flavor you love and enjoy on wood fired pizza. They finish the wing in a buffalo sauce that is made in house, slightly sweet but still gives you that heat that you need and full on flavor. Pizza game is on point too, doing its own thing!!!Pizza is NYC style, soft chewy crust, wood fired and slightly charred. Topping game is premium. Cheese game is straight up mozzarella. Sauce game is standard marinara; not sure if they make it in house but it's delicioso. Overall, Epic Pizza lives up to its name and then some. I highly recommend it!

I saw this place and instantly though, meh that can't be good. But I'm glad I was wrong. Their pizzas are good and they usually do a lot of creative combinations with their toppings. I don't think it's on the same level as Pizzeoli but it's delicious nonetheless. Added bonus: having a pint at iTap with a slice. Everything's good with beer right?

I've heard the saying, "Don't judge a book by its' cover" and found it to be true. I read many a good books that have had boring covers. I have now learned not to judge a pizza place by its' store front. I've driven by Epic Pizza many times on my way to various other eateries in Soulard and have thought to myself, what a hole in the wall, their pizza can't be any good. Lucky for me I finally looked them up here on Yelp and was amazed at the high ratings from people I trust. So the other night when we were crazing pizza and a new experience we headed over to EPAS. Beware that on Monday they do not open until 5 PM, the hours currently posted here on Yelp are incorrect. We arrived before the their scheduled opening, but that is not a problem when ITAP is right next door. It was a good thing, that we did arrive early because talking to the ITAP bartender, she informed us that EPAS will deliver our food to us if we choose to eat on their patio. Trust me, this is a win. We went back to Epic and ordered chicken wings and their 16" Epic Pizza. We had to go with the Epic, because it has all my favorite toppings; sausage, pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, onion and green pepper. It was cut into pie slices and we had two left over for breakfast the next. The toppings were plentiful and I always love a wood fired pizza. The only disadvantage of having them bring our food over to ITAP, was they delivered the wings and pizza at the same time. We would have enjoyed having the Wood Fired Wings served first. When ordering the wings I did not notice that they too are wood fired, which gave them extra flavor. They definitely earned a place on my Wings List. Staff is friendly and goes beyond customer service by delivering your next door. Lesson learned: Don't judge a pizza joint by its' exterior. You may be missing the best slice of your life.

Well, Epic is a bit of a misnomer in my opinion. It's serviceable pizza. The crust was actually quite nice -- not thin, not too thick. If you're a big chain kind of pizza eater, think Pizza Hut's Pan pizzas. The toppings were incredibly underwhelming. And sparse. We got the small veggie. Which is actually a pretty big amount of food (the crust and cheese part) -- just not that great tasting. The cheese was a little heavy-handed and didn't quite get that kiss of brown and melty-ness, so it felt thick. The sauce was barely noticeable. No real flavor to speak of. But, they delivered to our seats at iTap, and that's an extra star. We also got the garlic knots, which really weren't very garlic-y, but tasted decent. Again, the tomato sauce that came with it was basically flavorless -- maybe a garlic butter sauce would go nice with them? All-in-all, if you like pizza and drinking beer, it's not the worst option to have it delivered to iTap. Any other time, I wouldn't seek them out.

Two years and a day later: I still like this place. Hilariously, it's our default eatery when it's like 11 PM, midnight on a Friday or Saturday night and we are hungry after some event. It's because I don't know of anywhere else to go at that time that's not on Washington Avenue or has something that everyone will like or a diner or a bar. Everyone loves late night pizza, duh! 1) I still love how it's attached to ITap, but you don't have to be in ITap. 2) Service is always hit or miss. 3) I actually really don't like the garlic knots. They're kinda nasty. 4) However, their buffalo wings are awesome! They're meaty and yummy! And they come with sliced cucumber! 5) Don't order the subs. They're small and not really tasty. 6) While the pizzas are not the best I've ever had, they are pretty good. Especially if it's late at night. 7) I might walk off with that corkboard one night. And I love how Epic just attracts different people...last time we were there...there were people just out of the Cards game and people who just were at the Blues game and people who were just out drinking...and us...just out from the Fox.

Stopped in here for a late dinner on a date night, after ruining our appetites with pretzels from GC Brewery and popcorn from the movies. Got a slice of margherita and split a slice of toasted ravioli with Husband. The margherita slice was the best margherita I've had in STL so far, and that is the pizza I always order. It had tangy red sauce, oodles of shredded basil, not too much cheese on a tasty crust with just enough salt for my liking. I was in pizza heaven - I really wish I had room for another slice, but I guess this place isn't going anywhere. Husband usually counts on me leaving some of everything I eat, but he didn't even get a bite because I couldn't bear to part with it. The toasted ravioli pizza was also great. I was expecting some cut up toasted raviolis on a regular pizza, but that was not the case. They used an egg wash on the crust, then piled it high with a mixture of ravioli filling and seasoned breadcrumbs. It was served with a warm marinara sauce for dipping. Everything worked so well together that it really exceeded my expectations. At $3 - 4 per slice, this was a real bargain and a great dinner choice for my small appetite. I will crave their pizza and will definitely be back!

Date night - Part 3 We dropped the kid off at her function and had the following plan - something, dinner, movie then pick up the kid and go home. The drop off was at Ballas & 40 and the pick-up was in Soulard. The something turned out to be sitting in Granite City Brewing Company for a couple of hours and ruining our appetites with beer samplers and freshly baked soft pretzels so we decided to bump the movie up to the #2 slot. That left us with a late dinner in the Soulard area. Given the amount of nightlife there it seemed like a no-brainer. The wife has been wanting to try this place for quite a while. I wanted something along the lines of Cajun and/or seafood but wasn't really very hungry after the popcorn at the theater. We settled on pizza slices. I opted for the buffalo chicken pizza and she wanted the margherita. The girl at the counter said that they were not huge slices so we decided to add a piece of their toasted ravioli pizza to split. I started with my half of the toasted ravioli pizza. I was initially expecting something like cheese pizza with chunks of cut-up toasted ravioli on top. That wasn't their plan - they took the toasted ravioli filling, mixed in some bread crumbs and added it much like one would add chunks of sausage to a pizza. I think their way probably worked better. Delicious slice and served with a side of warm marinara dipping sauce. The wife demolished her slice of margherita and looked at me like I was a lunatic when I asked if she was going to offer me a bite. I moved on to the buffalo chicken pizza. Unfortunately, I found the chicken chunks very dry and chewy and that detracted from the entire experience. The pizza itself was quite good - delicious sauce which incorporated bleu cheese with the right amount of heat such that you knew you were eating a spicy dish but not so hot that you couldn't taste all of the components. I would certainly try this place again if I found myself looking for a slice in Soulard but will opt for something other than the buffalo chicken next time. Maybe the margherita - I was left to wonder how that one tastes...

Fabulous place for dinner on a Saturday night! We ordered a small spread for two: garlic knots, garlic parmesan & herb fries, a slice of margherita pizza, and an order of wings. The garlic knots are pretty much perfect - awesome garlic flavor, nice and doughy, and not overly greasy. An order of six goes a long, long way, as they are really filling. The fries were pretty good as well, but those garlic knots stole the show in the appetizer category. I ate the majority of the margherita pizza, while my husband demolished the wings. I did sneak in one bite of wings, and for someone who could leave chicken wings alone, they were tender and had the perfect amount of spice. That margherita pizza was out-of-this-world good. Perfectly cooked crust, toppings were right on. The restaurant itself is on the tiny side, but on a Saturday night it wasn't packed at all. Located right next to iTap, you can order from Epic and take your happy ass over to iTap and have a beer if you'd like. Major selling point for sure!

This place was epically pretty good. Decor/Ambiance: Between great and epic Food: Between great and epic Service: Between "they must be having a bad day" and "yikes" Stumbled in and this place was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Great menu. Ordered a sausage and peppers sandwich. It was $$. The guy who rung us up was not very friendly, and my friend thought he was rude. Anyway- once we sat down the experience got better. I love the interior. Giant wood tables, super comfortable and great for conversation with friends. Brick walls, cute artwork. The food was incredible, in my opinion. I cannot remember eating a sandwich that good in a very long time. I thought it was a little overpriced, though, for the size and that it lacked sides. All in all, I really loved this place. I would love to come back here on a date or with friends. Great place to have a conversation. Hopefully the service was just a fluke and next time will be better. I am definitely coming back here in the very near future. The food here alone makes it worth a stop, service be damned.

2.5 star review. I really wanted to like this place, as I've been trying to find a by the slice pizza place and Epic seemed to have good reviews. Garlic knots were unimpressive. They were dry, and too hard and crisp on the outside. The veggie pizza was OK but the olives tasted metallic-y (boyfriend agreed). I've had better floppy NY style pizza before. My boyfriend got the epic supreme pizza and liked it. Overall I was less than impressed so the STL NY style pizza search continues.

$12 for a repulsive "chicken" caesar salad. I have tried almost everything on the menu at Epic. Always stick with a basic slice of pizza, or else you'll pay for it physically and financially. I think they used canned chicken for my salad. I can't even begin to describe how disgusting it was. It tasted uncooked and I felt sick after. I couldn't believe this was $12. I could have gotten four slices of their margharita pizza for the same price. It was also very small and consisted of limp lettuce and store bought croutons. Take my advice. If you're going to eat here, only order a simple slice of pizza. Do not order salad.

Very rude staff and they shut down the grill an hour and a half before close. Can't really advertise as a late night restaurant if you don't serve food "late night."

I've walked by Epic Pizza a ton, and it always smells so delicious! Finally had a chance to go in, and found it tastes as good as it smells. The menu is extensive, and there is more seating than it appears from the outside. I had the NY Cheese pizza, which was tasty for something so plain. The 14" pizza was more than enough for my roommate and I, as we were able to take some home. At $10 a person it was a good deal - I love leftovers! My favorite part of Epic Pizza is that they deliver to iTap next door. I loved having my pizza brought to me while I enjoyed my beer! Definitely worth ordering from if you're at iTap. Not the best pizza in STL, but definitely a great pizza place in Soulard!

Bah! What are you trying to do to me, Epic Pizza? Perhaps this is a complaint more than a review. For those who follow my Yelping journeys, you already know that I patronize this place often. I like it quite a bit, especially since I discovered their hamburgers! In fact, Epic has become engrained into our Monday night trandition. Do Laundry. Drink iTap. Eat Epic! However, my Monday nights have been foiled by Epic's recent decision to close on this day. My wife and I wandered down there after we threw our dundies in the washer at Soulard Soap and were presented with a dark, empty Epic Pizza. Confused, we went into iTap to get answers. The bartender told us that they decided to close on Monday nights, during football season. I'm not a Monday Night Football fan. I hate football. However, I love beer and pizza. We don't just knock back a few on Monday night; we also eat dinner. Now we have the beer but no pizza. The iTap bartender mentioned getting carry out/delivery from Joanie's To Go, but that sounds like a task and more expensive. Please come back to Monday, Epic! You have foiled my Monday night tradition, and I don't know what to do now. Please don't make me go to Carson's! Can you smell my desperation?!

I recently moved to St Louis from the upper east side in Manhattan. This is the best pizza I have had since. The storefront is deceptively small. If you grab a slice and go you'll be satisfied but ordering a whole pie with friends and having a pitcher or two completes the experience. Made to order, fresh dough and ingredients daily. Reasonably priced and great value. Truly a Neighborhood spot. You know you've found a winner when you spot a table full of cops eating there.

Wait...you mean I can order a delicious gourmet pizza while I sit at iTap and sip on my beer? Woohoo! This MUST be heaven. It's located literally right next to iTap, which makes any kind of delivery charge kind of silly. The pizza itself was covered in bell peppers and olives and the crust was perfectly hand tossed. It had loads of flavor and there was more than enough to fill the three of us. The price wasn't too shabby either :) I will definitely be coming back for some pizza & beer in the very near future.

These guys know how to toss a pie. Now I'm no New Yorker, but I have it on good authority that the owner is a born and raised transplant from New York and it shows with the quality of these pizzas. Whether its the simplicity of the margarita, the classic pepperoni, the i-ordered-it-because-i-had-plenty-at-itap buffalo chicken, the experimental "Bradley" (pistachios on a pizza??), or the humble cheese, you will find a slice worth savoring at Epic. And the great thing about this place is that pizza isn't the only arrow in their arsenal. They have amazing burgers (do NOT skimp on the Epic sauce), killer buffalo chicken wings, and their garlic knots appetizer is perfect for when you and some buddies are over at itap trying to decide what pizza you are going to get.

Called in an order for carry out one Sunday afternoon while my folks were over helping me work on my apartment. We were in the mood for pizza but didn't want to go anywhere to eat. I hadn't tried Epic yet so I suggested we try it out. We agreed and ordered the supreme pizza, garlic knots & Italian Chopped salad. The guy from Epic was very friendly who took my order and told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. Wait what? 15 minutes that's all? Wow. When I arrived the food was ready and I was greeted by the friendly guy who took my order on the phone. He was frying up a whole flat top of bacon & I knew I was in heaven. He quickly gathered up my order I paid and was on my way. The Italian Chopped salad had plenty of toppings and wasn't just lettuce. There was more than enough for the 3 of us to share. The Garlic Knots were delicious. It was like little fried bread covered in garlic that you could just pop in your mouth! Pretty impressed with my first experience and will definitely be back. And next time I'm craving pizza I'll be calling Epic instead of waiting an hour for some delivery guy to drop off my pie.

This is by far my favorite pizza in STL. I am from the Illinois/Iowa border where we have our own style of pizza called "quad cities style". Moving to St. Louis was a culture shock filled with thin crusts and provel. I couldn't do it. I found epic and immediately loved the woodfire pizza, especially the margarita. Only things keeping this from 5 stars are the price (was shocked my pizza and wings were $40) and the saltiness (I drank over 120 oz of water the next day and was still not quenched)

Okay I've wanted to come in here for a few weeks and last night was my shot. I had a slice of the Epic Supreme, and it was guuud. I like to look at pizza in three categories -- crust, sauce, and toppings. Crust -- crispy outside, chewy inside. Not too thick -- sort of like a NY-style slice. Stood up on its own and didn't get weighed down by the toppings. Overall -- A+! Sauce -- very flavorful. And not dripping with it either. Some pizza places drown their pies in sauce. Not Epic -- they do it right! Toppings -- fresh, fresh, fresh! I saw the guy grab the onions, mushrooms, and green peppers, toss them on the flattop and cook 'em up a little before putting them on the slice, prior to its visit in the oven. The pep, sausage, and bacon also tasted good. Tasty tasty indeed! So overall? A win. Great job, EPaS. I'll be back for shore!! (...maybe I'll get pizza from Epic, and beers from iTap next door!...)

When I heard we were going to get another pizza place on the Island I was a little confused, I thought to myself, why pizza, don't we have enough to choose from? Well, clearly I was incorrect. This pizza is like nothing else in the neighborhood! I arrived late on a Friday night. I expected the place to be packed, but it wasn't. I assume the crowd was probably all in the adjacent bar, iTap. While perusing the menu with my dinner-date (my sister who had just flown in from our of town), our eyes both lit up when we saw the pesto-chicken. Anyone who knows me must know I love chicken and I love pesto! SOLD! WE ordered the smaller pizza and some beer. The service was good and it was nice to get to meet the owners. I like meeting people. My sister and I grabbed a seat and immediately we were brought napkins and plates. While waiting for the pizza I was a little concerned because I thought it would take forever, but it actually didn't take long at all. When the pizza arrived it looked delicious and cheesy! That's the best. I believe this pizza was cut into 6 slices, 6 pretty big slices. We each were able to consume 2 slices and of course we took the last 2 for a midnight snack. I will be back again and again just so I can try everything on the menu...including the gooey butter cake, which I hear is the best in the city!

Very good sandwiches. Had the chicken parm sandwich, and it was really, really good. The other slices of pizza we got were great. The crust of the za was excellent. You'll wait a bit for your food, but is made by scratch, so that's okay. Come for the variety and the prices.

I went here with some friends on a Sunday afternoon. I was kind of skeptical at first but my comrades said they had been here before and it was legit. Don't let the small store-front fool you cause there is more room than appears from the outside. We each ordered a couple pieces of pizza by the slice+a drink. I ordered a slice of the Chicken Pesto and The Margherita. The pricing on their pizza is super reasonable. It's about $3-4 per slice and the slices are larger than your average piece of pizza but nothing huge. The slices I had were thin crust--I think they all are--which is my favorite. They each were really good. The ingredients tasted fresher or higher quality than your average chain-pizza place. They are all brick oven-made as well which gives them the perfect "crispyness". If you are a pesto-lover I highly recommend trying the Chicken Pesto pizza. It was exceptionally tasty and different. I haven't been here on a busy night but I will have to go back for another visit to try some other things on the menu. If you are in the area and are looking for a casual place to grab so relatively cheap-eats, Epic Pizza and Subs is a good choice.

I've been coming here since opening day and have never had a problem until recently. The service seems as though it has declined, and the staff is overly casual. I ordered a veggie pizza to go, specifically without black olives. The person repeated all information, we tipped, and waited next door. When the pizza was delivered (same person who took the order), it was not "to go" and had a ridiculous amount if black olives!!! They went back and boxed it and offered to remake it, which we declined due to time, but did not at all once offer to refund our money or offer us a complimentary item. I know how hard I once worked in the restaurant biz to please the customer. Seems as though epic is about a lower standard of service. I may go elsewhere.

Space case taking order butchered it despite repeating it back. Ordered large pie to go, no black olives. Brought it out as eat-in with what appeared to be extra olives. Pizza is solid, but take your adderall and focus on the customer!

This place is seriously the best pizza. It's so fresh and the staff is way too kind. I like how you get to watch your food get made, and if needed they can bring it next door for you. Epic Pizza is a must do stop when you're out in Soulard.

I love this place! Whenever I'm in soulard this is one of my favorites. Its only a few blocks from my friends place. We often frequent this place for a late night snack. Great pizza and cupcakes! You can taste the fresh dough in every bite of pizza. I know this is TMI, but despite my lactose intolerance I look forward to this pizza! I tried the burger on one occasion. It was a solid B, but I'mVery particular about my beef so I'll probably stick to the pizza when I come.

Decided to check out this place w/ the hubby for a late lunch. We placed our order at the counter and ended up sitting outside at their sidewalk window seating. This is a very small counter and you sit on metal tractor looking barstools but it was just us there so we were able to spread out our plates just fine. We wanted to try a little of everything after reading reviews so here's what we got.... * Chicken Pesto Pizza- We only ordered a slice (it's pretty awesome that you can order one slice of any of their pizzas). This pizza is very thin and I had to eat it w/ a fork since it was so floppy....more like a tortilla. This was my least favorite thing but it could just be the type that I got. * Garlic Knots- These were soooo yummy! They are served w/ pizza sauce. * Garlic-Parm Fries....I wasn't blown away by these....not much of a fry person and they did not do a good job of converting me. Just okay. * Cheese Burger - We got the cheddar cheese and med. This is a smaller sized burger but was pretty damn good! I will be going back just for this next time! Very juicy, perfect bun...soft and not too much, and the meat was seasoned really well. I got a glass of red, and hubby walked over to ITap and got a fancy beer and they let him bring it over....in a glass! Apparently you can bring over beer from Itap or take food from Epic to Itap. Great team! I did get photos of everything that we ordered if you'd like to see it.

This place was a random stop on the way back from Soulard Market. I needed to grab some lunch before heading back for the long trek to the East Side. I had a stroller and thought "crap" when I seen the big step to get into this place. Bogarts was too crowded so I had the choices of listening to a screaming hungry kid or try and get my stroller up this step. Within a few seconds the guy came around the bar and helped me into the restaurant. Bonus points for excellent service. They were so friendly too. I found out the owner's wife makes the cupcakes. (The looked absolutely divine.) I ordered a slice of Margherita pizza. I needed something that a 18 month old would eat. As much as I wasn't a fan, she sure was. She ate the whole piece. I would definitely come back though and try another slice of something different.

Pretty solid food...I especially liked the buffalo wings, though the bleu cheese dip left much to be desired. Tasty pizza. Loved the adjacent beer joint; very nice bartender helped me choose a great local brew based on what I like and I carried it to Epic to enjoy with my food.

Love this restaurant! Great food and ambiance. I chose to come here with a group of coworkers for some 'Team Building' and was very happy with this venue! We were able to watch the Mizzou game, have some drinks and enjoy some great apps(our group especially liked the Garlic Knots) and pizza - of course! I've been back multiple times since and have tried something new every time. Friends tell me they make an AWESOME burger - which i will be trying next :). I think this place really adds to the unique and fun atmosphere of Soulard.

I wouldn't bother unless you're starving after 1 AM. We've gone in a couple of times for a late night snack after hitting nearby bars. They usually mess up at least one of our orders, which you wouldn't expect to be that difficult since it's just pizza slices. This last weekend, they gave us an incorrect order and handed us our food in boxes, which apparently meant that we couldn't eat inside. Not a problem if they would have simply informed us of this first. Poor listening and bad communication!

Nice little pizza and sandwich place next to International Tap House. I had already eaten at Bogart's (can't go wrong there), but wandered over to check out the place in anticipation of a microbrew lover friend of mine coming to visit in a few weeks. Owner was nice enough to give me a slice of pizza to try, and it was solid. That in and of itself merits points. I still prefer Feraro down the street, but this spot deserves some business!

Pizzza is pretty good. Ordered take out so by the time I ended up eating it was 30 mins or so. This is not the type of pizza that goes down very well cold -- in fact it was terrible the next morning. Eat it hot. Or take it next door to ITap.

Wildly underwhelmed by this place. We frequent iTap for football gamewatches, and often bring our own food, or grab some BBQ down the street. Last weekend, we were just hoping for something quick--enter Epic Pizza and Subs, which shares bathrooms with iTap. Both the husband and I ordered pizza by the slice--we tried the Bradley and Meat slices, which we both decided were "eh, okay." Maybe the burgers are better? They will "deliver" to you at iTap, so you don't have to wait around for the pizza to be ready.

Went there with a buddy this weekend. Both got the cheeseburgers, they were horrible. The patty tasted like it was microwaved and then put on the grill, had a really rotten taste. They got one star for the fries which were not bad, but its pretty hard to mess up fries.

Garlic knots. Yes I said garlic knots. You must order them and consume while still warm and yummy. They were awesome! The hubby and I finished them in the car before we even left the front of the restaurant. We also got a meatball sub the share and it came with a boatload of fries. Everything was good. The next time we will try the pizza cause it looked good.

Ok this is not 5 stars for fancy 5 star cuisine. This is 5 stars for an AWESOME chewy thin crust pizza by the slice with *bonus* mozzarella not provel! TO TRY ~Farmhouse Salad with seasonal ingredients (assuage your pizza guilt) ~Buffalo Chicken Pizza ~Pesto Chicken Pizza - Plenty of Pesto here! ~Hamburger - blissfully greasy and good ~Beer - if you are not going to iTap to eat try a beer here, they have a thoughtful selection The service at Epic is always friendly, the food is quick and good enough that you don't have to be tipsy to enjoy it. Check it out for a quick lunch or a casual dinner.

It took me a while to try Epic due to its weird logo and terrible name, but its proximity to iTap eventually lured me in just as they had anticipated. And IT'S DELICIOUS! After PW and Black Thorn, this is my favorite pie in the city. Which makes it my favorite NY-style pie in the city. They also offer pizza by the slice and will bring it over to your table/bar at iTap. Epic success! That was dumb. Whatever. Try it, it's way better than it sounds.

Ok, so had the burger there---OMG delicious! #1 it's greasy so if it's your cheat day, please go there, but it was amazing. However gave them 3 stars (not cuz of food) but because of the old man there (who I had an issue with a year ago--not sure if he's still there) but he gave me so much attitude because I ordered food there, went where my friends were at Llewellyn's, came back a minute before he told me the time would be, and he threw my food away. He said "we called for ya for 5 minutes!" I said, "you told me 15 minutes, it's been 14." He said "ok, well throw his food on again, he was at another bar NOT drinking our beer." I said, "really man?" and he jus glared at me. Yea F that guy! Like I said-- it was a year ago, he could've been the owner or whatever, but I will not be talked to like that. However, their burger and pizza is pretty good and his terrible attitude won't deter me. Get over it man, you're a food place, not a bar.

I had read about Epic in the Riverfront Times and always like to support local businesses, so my family and I went on a Friday night. We were pleasantly greeted as we walked in. The menu is simply stated on cute little chalk boards. The pizza was so delicious! It was so fresh! Epic has found regular customers here!!

My first experience here was just grabbing a slice of pepperoni during Mardi Gras. It was so good that I just couldn't wait to go back there. When I finally did they gave me a free order of garlic knots just to try out with my slice of pepperoni pizza. Since then Epic has been a staple on my list of go to-pizza places. Their pizza really is that good. The garlic knots themselves are delectable and my wife fell in love with them. They're also directly next door to I-tap, probably the best draft beer bar in St. Louis. That said...the service at Epic has dropped with each subsequent service. We've always explained that we were planning to eat at I-tap and this initially was not a problem. They would always bring it right over to us. Now we've been dealing with an older male, not sure of his name, who is very gruff and short. He seems annoyed just by your presence in the establishment, especially once you mention I-tap. However usually a woman, in glasses, brings over our garlic knots, which we get out first. Then she also delivers our pizza to us. By contrast she is very friendly and polite. With all that said...my wife and I decided to hit up I-tap and Epic this past Sunday evening. There was a younger, short haired blonde girl working at the time we walked in. We thought we were in for a refresher from the usual grumpy service we'd received of late from Epic. We received almost exactly the opposite. We explained at first that we would be eating it at I-Tap and asked to get our garlic knots out first. She stated to us "that they go in at the same time so I'm not sure they will make it out beforehand." This has never been a problem in the past and we've always gotten them out at least 5-10 minutes before our pizza. We went along with it though, thinking things may not be different than in the past. Well things were very different. She brought over our large pepperoni pizza and the garlic knots, and smugly stated "that the pizza wound up coming out first anyways." Which I find impossible that a pizza can cook faster than it takes to throw the garlic bites into a fryer. The garlic knots have absolutely zero garlic butter on them at all. We are talking bone dry. So my wife had to get up to go over there and ask for a side of the garlic butter. I could maybe understand any of this if Epic was busy. However there was one other family in the restaurant that already had their food, so it's not like they were getting bogged down with orders. Let me state that I get that it must be frustrating to have a place like I-tap next door so nobody purchases their beer. Let's look at the facts though..they aren't even offering any good beer! They offer up the crappy Inbev special of Bud selections! Why should I even entertain the idea of drinking that beer? Secondly...my wife and I tip at least a full 20% share every time. Not that this means you have to give me great service, but at least be courteous as I'm giving this to you before you even have provided any service to me as the customer. If they really wanted to they honestly could ask us to come pick up the pizza in x-amount of minutes and we would be glad to do so. I don't think they should expect the same tip for this service, but if they are truly annoyed to be doing business as they currently do...they could switch to this model. I honestly do love Epic's pizza, but this sort of service may have done it in for me.

Since my last visit I've been back twice. Adding the Sausage and Peppers sandwich to my list of favorites from Epic. If you've read my reviews you know I am not one to give a pass on flavor, bread or meat. The Sausage and Pepper truly delivered. The server asked me if I wanted spicy or regular mustard and I opted for spicy, but truth be told, I had already almost wolfed down half the sandwich by the time she got back. Also had another Greek salad and it was just as great as the previous one. Later that weekend my wife took my sister's family to Epic for salads, sandwiches and slices. To a person, everyone enjoyed their meal (busy Saturday night around 9:30 p.m.) and I asked them all how it compared to Ferraro's and they all gave the pizza a slight edge. Just sayin'! I am now 5 for 5 in visits to Epic without anything less than a great meal or experience. That's rare for somebody as critical as me. Definitely rates my 5th star!

I love EPIC pizza! Any place that does pizza by the slice with whatever you want on it is great! Make sure to try their garlic knots. The service is always good. The owner is super friendly. They even stayed open later for us without batting an eye; very accommodating.

If i am going out for pizza, i will pick Epic nearly every time. The pizza crust is perfect and the combinations they come up with are stellar! I long for the pumpkin pizza from last fall.... god, that was amazing! One thing that is nice is that you can order by the slice... so if you are on the fence about a particular pizza, give a slice a try! The service is always good, never disappointed!

I went to Epic last week. Very unassuming building but once you enter the space is very inviting. I had a slice of pizza, the house salad and a coke. The pizza looked great and tasted even better. The salad was the very best house salad I have had. I think Epic will be a bright star for the neighborhood.

Didn't even know this place existed until a friend invited me. They won me over. The choices were good, great pizza crust and a decent environment. I liked being able to watch the action behind the counter. I don't know if I'll make a special trip there, but I do think they make a nice pie.

So I love this neighborhood. Between the farmers market, bogarts and epic, and I tap it is a great way to spend a day. I get almost as excited to go here as the game. I did try the toasted Rav pizza. Ingenious. The pizzas of the day are fun and creative, sorry I missed the Sarah Marshall, but just having the thick cut bacon with the other meats from the hill was crazy good Love it, some interesting looking staff provides the eclectic look of the neighborhood Get to soulard, and grab the shuttle to the game

I may be biased, because pretty much any piece of pizza is the love of my love, but this pizza especially gets me jazzed. I've been here four or five times, and I've had the basic cheese pizza (tasty), the meaty pizza (tastier) and the chicken pesto pizza (tastiest!). You can order by the slice or grab a whole pizza to go, but they bake all of their pizza in a brick oven right when you order. In my experience, the pizza's not too greasy but still packs enough cheese to satisfy that late-night craving. Because, folks, these guys deliver to the bar next door. And I can't imagine a better business model. After 3 or 4 (or 8) beers at iTap I'm generally jonesing for some pizza -- luckily, Epic is right next door and they will bring pizza to your table! I'm looking forward to branching out in terms of the menu, though it's hard to separate oneself from the pizza. I ordered garlic bread one time and though tasty, it wasn't nearly as good. My one complaint would be that the staff here sometimes seems really bored and/or annoyed that they have to be at work. That's happened on multiple occasions. Though I'm sure the Friday late-night crowd wears you down!

I was pretty excited to hear about this place coming into the neighborhood but the excitement was quickly killed when I visited for the first time. I had read good things about the burger so I had one of those and a cup of chili. The burger wasn't bad but the bun was way too much bread. Overpowered the burger and I actually ended up taking the top off of it to finish it. Overall it wasn't horrible but there are better burgers in Soulard. And the chili was essentially coney sauce. It was like the kind of stuff you put on top of a hot dog. Really runny, very finely chopped chunks of beef. The chili over at Blues City is heads and shoulders above this stuff. My buddy I went with had a couple of slices of pizza and he said they were pretty good, nothing to complain about but when I asked if they were as good as Feraro's, he said not even close. So the question begs, if the best thing on the menu is the pizza and it's not as good as Feraro's right down the street, why not just go to Feraro's? I went back one other time just because I figured it would be quick and we were pressed for time. That time I ordered the meatball sliders and they were actually pretty good but it was anything but quick. I mean 3 meatballs, some marinara sauce and a slice of provolone on a roll? Doesn't sound too hard. Yet i waited 15 minutes for it. It's not so bad I would never go back but unfortunately the things they do best are done better by someone else in the neighborhood.

UPDATE: The burger is, in fact, excellent. I give it an A-, which is rare air when it comes to burger ratings. The best part of the burger was the often-overlooked bun. This one was the perfect texture and had the perfect density. The onions were cut perfectly thin and grilled just the right amount. Their Epic sauce, while mayo-based, was also outstanding. --- I love this place. Pizza by the slice is a rare treat, especially when the pizza is unique and delicious. A bonus offered at Epic is the excellent service. While sitting at the counter outside, enjoying the sun and some pizza, I was asked by four separate Epic employees if I needed anything, even by one of the guys from the kitchen! Great service and great food is all I can ask of a restaurant and Epic delivers. Now I'm off to try their cheeseburger, which I'm told is one of the best in the city. I shall report back later. Or take a nap. I don't know which.

Epically OK. The beautiful wife and I hit up Epic for lunch on Friday -- despite being in the mood for pizza, I ended up getting their burger and fries. Let's just do a rundown a various thoughts: 1) Why is this order at the counter, when they'll gladly let you keep your bill open to order more drinks? Let's leave the counter for to-go and by the slice orders. If we're going to sit down to eat, having servers would make way more sense. 2) The burger -- as noted in other reviews, it's fried on a griddle. OK, you can have an opinion on either way -- frying keeps the juices in the burger (rather than falling into the fire), but fire does that wonderful char. What it really comes down to is that while it's wonderfully cheap ($5.00 for a single, $8.00 for a double), it's just a burger. 3) But, the Epic sauce, as Stephanie S. noted, is pretty damn tasty. But, it's also just a spicy Russian or Thousand Island or whatever. Good, but not a game changer for me. 4) The garlic-parmesan fries were really good (when I ordered fries, they came out as the default) -- crispy on the outside, mushy on the inside (in a good way). But it really could have used an accompanying sauce -- would have love some of their pizza sauce. And yes, I could have asked for it, but I'm trying for some constructive criticism. 5) Wine list -- they actually have a decent wine list, both by the glass and by the bottle. At first glance, it looked decently priced. 6) Beer list -- here's where I call bullshit. Epic's menu has beer recommendations on their menu, but they DO NOT OFFER THOSE BEERS. All they have are Budweiser family, Shock Top, and Michelob Amber. WTF? No. If you're the kitchen for iTap, then be the kitchen for iTap. If you're an independent restaurant, then act like it and man up on your beer list. 7) Pizza by the slice -- apparently it's an option, but I'm not sure if you just get to say "I'll take a slice of X" and they'll make it. Unlike every other by the slice joint, there wasn't anything premade wait for you. Maybe that's a good thing, but it confused me. 8) Service -- service was pretty friendly, though I was confused with a lot about this place, I didn't feel like asking a million questions. Overall, I'm saying Epic is unusual. Are they a "get to go and take it over to iTap" place? Do they want people to sit down for dinner? I don't know. We'll be back because we need to try their pizza.

Great atmosphere, great pizza... What can I say? I unintentionally ran into this place while walking back from the Busch tour one Sunday afternoon, and saw their lunch special for a slice of pizza, soup or salad, and a soda. Reasonable price for a great slice of pizza - I will return if I'm in the area. Nice, clean place as well... I had the BBQ chicken pizza by the way, and I recommend it.

I have had both pizza and a sub here and I was satisfied. I will give them some time to improve things. The pizza is decent and can be delivered next door to Itap. Be careful because extra toppings will make your slice get expensive. I respect the fact they do sell slices. Their sandwiches seem to have good deli meats on them, yet I was not a fan of their bread. Nothing about a soft white Wonder like bun is Epic. Something with a little more gusto would help this sandwich turn the corner. I had the Italian sandwich.

As we were next door for a family get together, we had a few trusted representatives head over to get a few pizzas. We ordered a veggie, a margherita and a hamburger, mushroom and onion. I was really excited for the margherita, as that is my favorite kind of pizza. Epic will generously take a to-go order and deliver it to you at I Tap. I think this is an awesome service, and think it is beneficial to their business. The pizzas arrived, and though we were all hungry and the tops looked quite scrumptious, the bottoms of the two I saw were pretty badly burned. The margherita was so badly burned, it was inedible. I returned it, and after checking to make sure my claims were valid, they offered to re-make it. Again, they delivered me a new pizza, which I very much appreciated. Again, however, the bottom was burnt. Maybe this is a flaw in the oven and cannot be helped, but I tend not to be a super fan of burnt bottom pizza. I also felt that it was a little expensive for what it was. I paid $12 for this pizza, and I am guessing that there were approximately 10 little pieces of mozzarella spread over the 14 inches of pizza, a thin layer of sauce and some strips of basil. There was not any tomato slices, which surprised and disappointed me. I'm not sure that I will be making a repeat visit, but I do appreciate the delivery to the local watering hole gig they've got going on. Meh. Okay Dining.

So after looking at all the food pics I was really excited to try this place. This past Saturday after exploring the farmers market I headed over. There were a couple tables occupied but not too crowded. My sister and I each ordered a slice of the pie of the day (T-Rav and BBQ bacon burger) to eat there. After we ordered and sat down a couple large parties came in and ordered as well as another couple. We sat and waited, and waited. The large parties apps and whole pie came out, as did several delivery orders and the other couples order. We asked about our order and overheard the cook say he was about to "fire them up". I'm thinking, you cooked a whole damn pie and apps but haven't even made our 2 measly slices!? I was pissed at this point, so after another 10 minutes, our pizzas come out bagged up. Ummmm we ordered this for here. I just grabbed the bag and left. So we dined in the car and let me say, neither of us liked the pizzas. The T-Rav was dry and didn't taste like toasted rav at all. It came with the tiniest side of marinara for dipping, which since the pizza was so dry, I had finished the sauce off after about 3-4 bites. No onto the BBQ bacon slice, where is the BBQ sauce?? It was a good try, but not EPIC AT ALL. We won't be back here.

This is a good place to stop in a grab a slice. They have plenty of seating and even a couple of window stools outside. The menu is somewhat limited but the slice of the 'bradley' was uniquly good. It had pistachios on it. The crust was perfect... hand tossed and chewy without being burnt. They only have a few beer options but I believe they are connected with tap house and you can bring a beer over if you'd like.

I see Epic is compared to Feraro's in a lot of the nay sayer's reviews, so let me throw my two cents in. First off I walk into feraro's and instantly feel a little dirty like I don't want to touch anything, Epic is cleaner than most pizzerias. Secondly the staff at Feraros seemed like they expected me to know the ins and out of their menu, and only begrudgedly answered my question. This may just be a factor of new vs. Old Pizzariea, but at epic they were all to happy to elaborate and make suggestions about the food. Finally Epic is a way better deal than Feraros. The food is a little bit cheaper, and surprise surprise! They actually give free refills on soda, whereas Feraros was all to happy to charge me twice for the same fountain drink. Who still does that? It's 15cents of sugar water and I get charged almost two bucks for it? I know this sounds more like a bad review for Feraros than a good one for Epic, (it's both) but I feel I need to clear up some things the diehard Feraros fans said. Feraros isn't bad, I just think Epic is objectively better. Better food. Better service. Better dinner area. And better location(next to itap), and I just can't get over the free refills vs. No free refills (that's a big deal for me).

My wife and I love going to Epic Pizza and getting delicious craft beers from Itap. If you like neapolitan pizzas this place will definitely satisfy. The classic marguerite is so delicious! The crust tastes so fresh and hand made, the sauce is so full of flavor you'll never want delivery again. Combined with the craft beers of Itap, this is a favorite destination!

Epic? More like "it'll do in a pinch." I had the chicken pesto. The pizza wasn't that great, but it wasn't terrible either. All in all, it felt like "substance food" - you know, something to eat just so you're not hungry any longer. When I eat pizza I know the damage I'm doing to my body, and I should enjoy that pizza a hell of a lot more than I did the pie at this place. Kind of an odd setup for service too, because of the way you order at the counter and then everything is brought to you, the guy just brought our food and promptly forgot that my wife asked for some silverware. Doubt I'll be back for a lunch/dinner of choice - but I can see this place making a lot of money off of iTap next door (because they don't serve food) with the drunk folks coming out and not knowing (or caring) any better about the "epicness" of the pizza.

Good pizza, some of the best I have found in STL so far, still looking. Crust is thin, tasted hand tossed, has a nice "airiness" to it. Most similar to a New York Style I would say, although not exactly true to style. I think they use a woodfire oven or something, anyway its good. Also, the iTAP is right next door so I like to bring my pizza over there and enjoy some of the beer selection in STL, mazltof.

I was not very impressed. I went with a lady friend, and we split the double cheeseburger and the garlic parm fries, I also had a slice of meat pizza. The pizza crust was burnt, but the meat on top was cold when they finally brought it out to me. (Took about 15 minutes for the pizza slice to come out, and 10 minutes for the burger and fries) The burger is good, but nothing to get crazy about like the other reviews I have read. The epic sauce is necessary, and that is probably the saving grace of this place. The fries were good, but it is not that difficult to throw some garlic salt and parm cheese on fries. I did dip them in the epic sauce, which made them better. The service was less to be desired. The cashier didnt seem to know what she was doing, and the guy who brought our food out should have tried to bring all of it out at once, but I can understand a new place having growing pains. Overall, I say meh? Im sure I will go back because it is so close, but they have some tough competition around them if they are going to keep up. I think 9 times out of ten I would choose bogarts over epic.

I stopped into Epic for the first time during the Taste of Soulard. Based upon the garlic knots I got and the slice of cheese pizza my sister got, we thought it was pretty tasty. Sister said the pizza reminded her of Shakespeare's in Columbia, MO. It was a cute space inside and right next to I-Tap. I'd like to come back to try the pizza for real, not just a 'taste' although that taste was pretty good.

I wanted a quick lunch on my way home from downtown. For some reason this place crossed my mind (I think I saw an ad a few days ago) so I swung in. To be clear I am a transplant, a transplant from NY (upstate) and to consider what others out here consider pizza is sometimes laughable to me. So to say I was skeptical is an understatement. Immediately I saw mozzarella cheese, a beautiful brick oven, and a dough that doesn't look like it was made from smashed Saltine crackers. I ordered 2 slices that were promptly heated and served in my to go box with a smile and big thank you from a relaxed, causal, and polite staff. I ordered a slice called "The Bradley" that had, of all things, pistachios, red onions, an array of herbs, and just a little cheese. It was unreal. I never tasted a slice like it before. The pistachios gave a great meaty taste with a perfect texture. This is a must try slice of pizza. The other slice I had was a traditional margherita and was also delicious. The soft, chewy, and perfectly cooked dough is the icing on the cake. I urge you to give this place a try as even a native New Yorker sincerely enjoyed the slices.

Actually made an account just for this review. I was drawn in by the "pizza by the slice" sign. Obviously thinking if it's by the slice it should be fast. Ugh no. I waited 20-30 minutes for one slice! Which by the way not one staff member had the decency to tell me what the hold up was or how much longer I'd have to wait. 3-4 entire pies went out before mine and when I finally got it....the middle was cold and toppings were still raw. Never again.

I'm from Chicago so you can say I'm a picky pizza eater when it comes to St. Louis pizza places. This place was an exception. The crust is fantastic and you can order by the slice. One slice is enough for a lunch meal. The pepperoni and pineapple pizza is fresh and well-made. Everything is made to order, so it's a little slow, but worth it.

I only stopped to have a beer here while I waited for my cab. This place is pretty good. Nothing outstanding, but good. They have a ton of beers but I have a feeling they are not rotated often. My Blonde du Chambly tasted old. I was a little disappointed that my $5.50 bottled beer had a terrible aftertaste. The service is decent but the bartenders seem to want to chat amongst themselves more than check with their customers.

I live down the street, so I kind of figured (1) I could stand to wait to give in before trying Epic and that (2) when I finally did give in, there would be no way the pizza could live up to the hype. Well, last night, I finally gave in. Happily, the pizza lived up to the hype, and I wasn't even drunk yet! I decided to go full St. Louis and opted for a slice of toasted ravioli. The crust was crunchy, yet chewy, and the sausage on top had a nice crunch to it. I don't know how they did it, but this was probably also one of the least-greasy slices I've ever had. I didn't even miss the pepper flakes I compulsively put on pizza most of the time. Oh, and price-wise, this was a steal for Soulard, which I am starting to find kind of expensive for eating out. Unfortunately (for my waistline), I think I'll be going back.

I rarely like pizza out of the Chicago area but Epic is an BIG exception. It was really good! It's nice that each person can order different slices. The service was good and friendly. The tables inside are higher than normal and are real wood - kind of like tables you would have in your house. Nice atmosphere. But, bottom line, excellent pizza!

First time here. Cute place. It gets crowded! I had the pepperoni pizza and I really enjoyed it. It's not quite as thick as other New York style but it was delicious and I will return for more. The meat one looked awesome but I just was too full to try it. The double burger also looked really good. You can order there and they will deliver if you're hanging out next door at itap!

Just have a slice of cheese pizza and it was very good. Looks like a great place for wings subs and pizza. They have a lot of variety of beers also. Would go here again when in the area
